In my opinion, psychological flexibility is one of the most challenging concepts to teach a person with autism. Yet so many neurodivergent learners struggle with transitions, when presented with novelty, managing stress when errors are made, and disrupted routines. This is the first picture book in a series I am writing to help learners see the benefits of flexibility and cope when things don’t go as expected.

The principles of ABA can be very difficult to understand if presented in a formal manner. It is a science with all kinds of corresponding jargon that you can drown in if you don’t study it for a living! Allow me to clarify concepts for you! You don’t have to be an expert in the field of ABA to understand human behavior, and it really does make a huge difference when these concepts are understood.
